Today’s Tips: Monday 11th July 2022
Ah, it can be a frustrating game this… For the umpteenth time I watched the same jockey mis-judge the race on Blazing Tycoon yesterday, had her dead last out the gates and finished with a huge burst only to miss out by a long neck, paying $1.90… Money back if you went ew, but no good to us trifecta hunters…
Aecee Dolce grabbed a place as predicted, running third at a nice $3.50.
And the one to watch for next time, Ultimate Man was out the back on resumption and absolutely steam home for fourth. We’ll be all over him next run…
And as predicted again, Sir Simon runs a weak third, no dividend…
Fabrikka was well-supported, but was in a lot of trouble a long way out, maybe never handled the ground, and ran last.
And of course, Hawera was abandoned, so Mizzena will have to wait for next time…

Race 4: PAHANG went in the book after getting spruiked by the trainer last September. Did nothing that day, or since, and hard to see him improving on the that today… interest bet

Race 6: BANDAHARA has been in the book for over two years, and has given a lot back to us… Won the last two before heading to the paddock ($7 and $2.60) and has also run places at SPs of $17, $8 and $6.50. Has first-up form, fav distance and going, and drops in grade from his previous race on resumption after a couple of months off. Definite chance at $6.50

Race 5: KATTEGAT went in the book a year ago tomorrow, with a huge finish from the back. Subsequently went on a run of good form, winning for us at $5.50 and running two thirds at SP $8.50 and $21… Be fair to say he’s not approached that form since, but he’s $5.50 in a small field, so ew seems the go…

Race 6: GORUSH LIGHTNING steps up in grade after his narrow win for us at Moruya three weeks back, paying $5. EW chance in this field a4 $5.50

Race 4: FINGERTIPS went in the book last September with an amazing burst from the back to get up and win… He’s very capable, and has since won for us at $8, $3.80 and $1.90 (here three weeks back), plus placings at SP $6 and $3.50. Watch for him late here, great value to down the fav at $4.40
