Race 7: RIDGEVIEW CHIEF boomed home in September at Matamata, ran into some ordinary form, then got up for us early last month at $8 before running third here three weeks back. Tight betting race, with not much between the top four, $3.60 on offer…

SUNSHINE COAST
Race 5: LONADO was another one denied a run in the week due to an abandonment and goes in this today. Will run as the rank outsider at around $61, she doesn’t have great form in the wet, though her last three runs have had her thereabouts… Last run she came from the back to sprint well for second (see link) so is not entirely hopeless.

PORT MACQUARIE
Race 6: THE PHANTOM BANTAM also denied a run in the week, drops a touch in grade today after an ordinary run at Scone 9 days ago. Ran two close fourths prior to that, needs to get up on the race a bit more in these 1000m dashes, but still a place show today at the $26 mark…

NARACOORTE
Race 3: ATOMIC WIZARD blew then away late December here by 4.3 lengths, then got caught late at Penola. Good stats all round for this and will run fav at around $2.60.
