Good start with Atomic Wizard getting up well, Beautox fading in the run-in then Stony Creek getting abandoned. I was very keen on Lolarosie, and she hit the front as expected but didn’t see out the 1300m, so maybe 1200m is her limit at the mo.
A busy little Tuesday, seven from the book, featuring a $31 shot that I really think has a great chance today…
A 50c SuperHeinz multi fun-bet on the seven tips will cost you $60, but the return could be a whopping $2 million!
ORANGE
Race 3: Occasionally we get a bit of “good oil” and READY MADE DOLL falls into that category today. Has been making good progress since her debut in September, finishing on well in all three races to date, so the extra 200m today looks as if it could suit after finishing close up last time out… Around the $9 mark should give a sight today.

Race 6: FOX SPIRIT is proving hard to catch, got up for us at $8.50 in July and is coming back off a 3 month break. Good first-up stats, and gets to her fave distance and going. Drops in grade on her return, and might run a place at around $13.

YARRA VALLEY
Race 8: FASHION AVENUE caught the eye winning from the front at Mornington to clear maidens, the was a bit ordinary in the next two. Small field but worth watching…

ROTORUA
Race 1: MAKTASTIC has been knocking on the door for some time, and gets his chance to clear maidens today after nine attempts. Has been close up in his last four runs, and surely today’s the day… Riddell sticks, he’ll run a short fav, and looks too good for these.
BET: 10 unit win
Race 3: At the other end of the scale is the 9 year old gelding BRING IT ON. Caught the eye in May at Counties, beating Pacific Master by 4 lengths, then running third to Gospodin. Never too far away, but the 3 wins from 59 starts makes it hard to predict a win for him here as $21 rank outsider, but would pay to keep him safe…
BET: 2 unit win interest bet, include in exotics…
Race 6: BIFROST ran at Counties on debut in March before heading over to Aus, where he won straightaway at Pakenham before contesting a couple of bigger events at MV and Caulfield. Resumed at Te Rapa earlier this month needing the run after a 3 month break, in-form Craig Grylls sticks, and he looks a show here in easier grade and with the blinkers removed.

TIMARU
Race 7: Here’s today’s sleeper, SOUTHERN OCEAN… Noted with a great run under Lisa to get up and with the Listed LR Spring Classic at Riccarton in October over 2000m, then found the 2500m too far next up. Back to 1600m today (undefeated) on this track (undefeated) under Mudhoo (undefeated), only question is the soft going… 10 runs, five wins and three seconds and $31? Beat-the-bookie horse today for sure…
